Me at 13
I did keep multiple diaries when I was 13. Well, one for poetry and stories and one for personal things (both given to me by my awesome Aunt Kathy.)
So here it what I’ve dug up:
Diary entry from 13 yr old me
December 10th, 1984
“Dear Diary,
I guess a lot has changed since October when we moved to Margarita!
Derek P. left :(, Toneta D.’s last day is Friday :(.
Don’t know how many people are still leaving. 🙁
Thank goodness Jennifer, Ivette, Jody, Karine, Tony are still here.
Went to a party at Ivette B’s on Saturday. It was Panamanian Mother’s Day and Ivette’s birthday (Friday, the day before the party.) All of her cousins and other family were there, but we (kids) all went to the bowling alley and played video games. It was fun! Yesterday we went to Meme and Popie’s on the Pacific side and shopped.
M.M. “

If you have the urge run on over to Mama Kat’s and join the fun!
What fun it was to read this post! I started keeping diaries when I was in 5th grade and I've been keeping them ever since. I've kept a series for each of my girls beginning with the day I found out I was pregnant with them and continuing to present day. I love going back and reading about some of the things I would have forgotten about, otherwise.
Thanks for popping by my place. Looks like the 13 year old diary entry was popular at Mama Kat's. I am having totaly flashbacks now with all of your songs, movies, etc. Fun stuff!
That was fun. I love that you included the pics from the reunion.
These are so funny. It seems like all 13 year olds are exactly the same; we think the same, write the same…too bad we don't know how similar we are at the time. Life might have been easier!
I wish I would have kept a list like that of things I liked!
